Why fire safety is key to your buildings sustainability strategy
In the GED Chutes family, we're always thinking about what's modern. After all, we like to think our laundry chutes will be a standard design feature in most houses of the future (ambitious, we know). Fire safety is one of the key considerations for both commercial and residential property owners, which is why we place it at the heart of our laundry chute service. Whilst it may seem like just another necessary part of construction red tape, fire safety actually has a major role to play in ensuring the sustainability strategy of a building, which in turn helps to minimise any environmental damage that could be caused by a hypothetical fire. Improving the fire safety of your building is a common-sense measure insofar as any fire is going to have a major environmental impact, both in terms of air pollution and on the surrounding area. However, any considerations surrounding improving fire safety must be off-set against the added cost in terms of building materials. So what do you need to be considering when you set out a fire safety strategy for your building?
